Terms and conditions

School bus bookings

From September ‘23 all our school buses will be managed via this Boundary Oak Transport Hub.

Parents and guardians must place bookings via the Boundary Oak Transport Hub. The booking window will open for bookings ahead of each term. Sufficient notice for placing bookings will be provided to parents. The school offers places on its bus service, based on bookings being completed, on a first-come, first-served basis. The school will do its utmost to accommodate all requests for the use of the service.

Journeys booked but not taken are non-refundable.

From September ’23, we will operate 9 bus routes, both morning and evening to and from the surrounding area. Please click on route and stop information in this Boundary Oak Transport Hub to see further detail including timings.

Parents are asked to remind their children that when travelling on the school bus they must remain bound by the school’s behaviour policy.

Amendments / cancellations

Amendments to bookings (for example, frequency, route, pick-up location or drop off point) should be made by emailing boundaryoak@studentsafe.com

Boundary Oak allows both regular and ad hoc bookings. Please refer to the zonal pricing guide in the portal. If you wish to cancel your child’s bus provision part way through the term, you will still be charged the full amount for the remainder of the term.

Use of service

Students can only travel on the route for which they are registered.

Parents and guardians are asked to remind their children that, when travelling on the school’s buses, they remain bound by the school’s Behaviour Policy and Code of Conduct.

Changes to service

The school reserves the right to make route alterations after publication and, in the event of this occurring, will provide notice of such actions.

Payment and charges

Bookings are to be made via the Boundary Oak Transport Hub.

The school will continue to bill parents for the use of this service; payment will not be taken by StudentSafe. Your bill will depend on the number of routes booked and frequency. A discounted rate is given when bookings are made more regularly, as opposed to ad-hoc bookings. Please see pricing guide here. You will see the zonal information in the stop name on each route.

Once seats have been booked, you will receive an invoice via email from our Bursar, Eileen Lloyd, ahead of the start of term. All termly bus bookings must be paid in advance. Ad-hoc bookings will be billed at the end of the school term.

Contact details

If you have an urgent query about your child’s bus route during the service, please contact the StudentSafe control centre. You will be provided this number closer to September’s launch date. This phone number will be staffed during term time from 07:00 to cover travel into school and until 19:00 covering all homeward journeys.

Age restrictions:

As this is an out-of-hours transport service only pupils in Year 4 and upwards can use the school bus. Consideration may be given to pupils with a sibling in Pre-Prep where the older child is in Year 6 or above and sufficiently able to support the younger sibling in the event of an emergency.
